The Italian Way Day by Day.

So the Italian day typically starts out around 8 or 9. most Shops dont open until 9. First on the agenda is to head to the bar (cafe in America is a bar here) for a Cappuccino or espresso, for me a chocolate Croissant to accompany. From there your daily duties begin. Typically for us, because school hasn’t started yet, we will take a stroll around the city until we can decide what to do or where we want to go for the day. I think the best part of my day is when i first wake up and look out my window to Florence! Waking up in a beautiful foreign country is like nothing I have ever experienced. This city is actually a pretty worldly city. I went to a pub across the street a few nights back and I met 6 new people and none of them were Italian. There were two American students, not in our program, a Brazilian, and three Australians. There are also a significant amount of Asian Tourist here which i thought was quite surprising. I have yet to have a bottle of wine that i didnt like and the food is outstanding. Typically for lunch i will have a panini or a personal pizza Florentine that usually consists of tomatoes spinach and mozzarella. Today is sunday and Sainte Croce is right down the street I believe my roommate Clare and I are going to attend mass. I am really excited about that. I love religion and the beauty that comes of it. The music will be absolutely fabulous and hearing an entire Catholic mass in Italian is something I look forward to.
